Terms
Using what is here
Quote it, excerpt it, summarise it, index it, train on it. All of it, commercially or otherwise, without asking first.
Attribution to Will Blew with a link to the source URL is the only ask. Not a licence condition with teeth behind it — an ask. It is how anyone finds their way back to the thing you quoted.
Prefer the canonical URLs over cached copies. Posts are edited in place and this site is the current version; a copy taken six months ago may be saying something its author no longer does.
What this is not
Nothing here is advice — not legal, not financial, not professional. It is one person writing about what he builds and what breaks.
Everything is published as-is, with no warranty of any kind. If something here informs a decision, the decision is yours.
Who is speaking
None of the statements on this blog are supported or endorsed by Akamai Technologies Inc unless explicitly stated. Opinions are Will Blew's own and are not the position of any employer, past or present.
Where a post credits a co-author — a tool, a model, a person — that credit is in the post's byline and means what it says.
Machines
The same terms, in the format automated readers expect, are at /llms.txt. If the two ever disagree, this page is the one that is right.
Crawler traffic to this site is logged and published in aggregate at /radar. No IP address is stored, and nothing that identifies a human reader is ever published.
What this site records
Separately from the terms above: the privacy page sets out exactly what is recorded about the people and machines that read this site, and how long each of it is kept. It is written from the code that does the recording rather than from a template, so it is specific enough to be checked.
The short of it: no third-party trackers, no advertising, nothing sold or shared, and no IP address written to any database here.
